Hiring Range: $4,016 - $5,354

Minimum Qualifications
Requires:
A Bachelor's Degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology,
Licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the ND Board of Addition Counseling Examiners, and
Two years of experience as a Licensed Addiction Counselor
A Master's Degree in one of the majors listed above will substitute for one year of experience.
If unable to find qualified applicants will consider filling as an Addiction Counselor I (4132) , which requires a Bachelor's Degree in one of the above fields, AND current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.
If unable to find qualified applicants will consider filling as an Addiction Technician (4131) , which requires a Bachelor's Degree in one of the above fields. Individuals in this class must complete all coursework, training, and/or tests and obtain an addiction counselor license from the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners within two years from the date hired.
Must successfully complete a standard background check and criminal record check.

Summary of Work
Position will provide substance abuse treatment in an outpatient setting. Essential job functions include conducting addiction evaluations/ongoing assessment; person centered treatment planning; facilitating individual, group, and family therapies; presentation of educational materials and intensive case management. This position will work as a member of the Addiction Services team providing stage appropriate programming in a variety of group settings. Knowledge and experience working with consumers with co-occurring disorders is preferred. This position may include some after-hours crisis intervention services with additional compensation. Travel within the region may be required.
